Sonia is an accomplished biotechnology professional with extensive experience in genomics, immunology, and healthcare technology. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for advancing scientific innovation and supporting healthcare providers with transformative diagnostic solutions.
Before joining Illumina, Sonia spent five successful years at Zahrawi Group, where she grew from Product Specialist to Senior Product Specialist, leading major initiatives in molecular diagnostics and laboratory solutions. Earlier in her career, she contributed to the African Biotechnology Society as a Technico-commercial Specialist, managing renowned brands such as QIAGEN and Bio-Rad.
Holding a PhD in Genetics, Immunology, and Human Pathologies from the Faculty of Sciences of Tunis, Sonia blends scientific expertise with commercial excellence.
At Illumina, she will play a key role in expanding the company’s presence in Saudi Arabia, empowering researchers and healthcare partners to unlock the power of genomics for a healthier future.
