Before joining MATARAT Holding as CEO in September 2024, Raed built an extraordinary career that reflects deep operational expertise, strong leadership, and an exceptional ability to elevate organizations. His tenure at Saudi Ground Services (SGS) spanned nearly five years, where he progressed from Vice President of Operations to Chief Executive Officer. From 2021 to 2024, he led SGS through major operational improvements, workforce advancements, and service quality enhancements across airports nationwide. His leadership helped strengthen SGS’s role as a critical enabler of the aviation ecosystem in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, Raed contributed to the sector through high-level governance roles. He served as Chairman of TLD Arabia Equipment Services from 2023 to 2024, where he oversaw equipment services and operational support across airport systems. He also held the position of Excom Chairman at Saudi Amad for Airport Services & Transport Support for more than two and a half years, reinforcing his influence and contributions across multiple aviation-support industries.
A major foundation of Raed’s leadership excellence comes from his 18-year career at Aramco, one of the world’s most respected organizations. Across roles including Contracts & Procurement Advisor, Community Services, General Supervisor, Chief of Ground Operations in the Aviation Department, and Administrator, he gained a deep understanding of operations management, logistics, procurement, aviation systems, and organizational development. His experience at Aramco shaped his strong managerial capabilities and established a foundation of discipline, operational integrity, and strategic thinking that he carries into every leadership role.
Today, as CEO of MATARAT Holding, Raed Al-Idrissi leads one of the most critical entities driving the modernization and development of Saudi Arabia’s airport infrastructure.
